Handling Fees
(Travel Service Fees)
1. Planning & Arrangement: Included in the Tour Price.
2. Changes after Booking: 11,000 JPY per request.
3. Re-issuing Documents: 5,500 JPY per instance.
4. Cancellation Procedures: No separate handling fee (cancellation penalties apply).
Additional Fees1. Bank Transfer Fees: Borne by the customer.
2. On-site Expenses: Personal expenses (e.g., beverages, laundry, shopping) not explicitly included in the itinerary.
3. Transaction Fees: Currency conversion fees charged by your credit card issuer.
Payment MethodsCredit Card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex via secure payment link) or International Bank Transfer.
Payment PeriodPayment must be made by the date specified in the invoice. Generally, full payment is required 21 days prior to the travel start date. For bookings made within 21 days of travel, immediate payment is required upon booking.
Cancellation PolicyCancellations are subject to the penalties outlined in the “Travel Terms & Conditions” section below.
Cooling-off PeriodThe Cooling-off System (unconditional cancellation within 8 days) under the Specified Commercial Transactions Act does NOT apply to travel contracts concluded via the internet.

2. Terms & Conditions

Part A: Website Terms of Use

1. Applicability

These Website Terms of Use apply to your access to and use of the website “ICHIGO ICHIE – Your Singular Japan” (hereinafter referred to as the “Site”), operated by no border Inc. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Intellectual Property Rights

All content, features, and functionality on the Site—including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, audio clips, video clips, and software—are the property of no border Inc. or its content suppliers and are protected by Japanese and international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, or publicly display any of the content without our prior written permission.

3. Disclaimer of Warranties

The information provided on the Site, including model itineraries and travel information, is for general informational purposes only. While we strive to keep the information up to date and correct, we make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability, or availability of the Site. Any reliance you place on such information is strictly at your own risk.

4. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall no border Inc. be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Site or inability to use the Site.

5. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites that are not owned or controlled by us. We assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites.

6. Governing Law

These Website Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.

Part B: Travel Terms & Conditions

1. Contract Basis

Our travel contracts are based on the “Standard General Terms and Conditions for Travel Agency Business” (Order-Made Organized Tour Contract part) prescribed by the laws of Japan. Matters not provided for in these Terms shall be governed by said laws and general practices.

. Booking and Conclusion of Contract

The contract is concluded when we accept your application and receive the application fee or full payment as specified in our correspondence. Full payment of the Tour Price must be made by the deadline specified by us, generally no later than 21 days prior to the tour start date.

3. Included and Excluded Items

  • Included: Accommodation, transportation, guide services, experiences, and meals as explicitly listed in the final itinerary.
  • Excluded: International airfare, travel insurance, personal expenses, and any items not listed in the itinerary.

4. Cancellation Policy

If you cancel the travel contract for your personal reasons, the following cancellation fees will apply. The date of cancellation is based on Japan Standard Time (JST) when we receive your written notice.

*Note: Any transaction fees (e.g., credit card processing fees, bank transfer fees) incurred during the refund process shall be borne by the client.
5. Changes to Itinerary

  • By Client: If you request changes after the contract is concluded, we will accommodate them to the extent possible. You will be responsible for any additional costs and handling fees (11,000 JPY per request).
  • By Us: We reserve the right to modify the itinerary in the event of force majeure (natural disasters, strikes, suspension of transportation services, etc.) that makes the original plan impossible to execute.

6. Liability and Exemptions

We are liable for damages caused by our intentional misconduct or negligence. We are NOT liable for damages arising from natural disasters, adverse weather conditions, changes in schedules by transportation/accommodation facilities, theft, illness, injury, or the client’s negligence.

7. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance in your home country that covers medical expenses, trip cancellations, and personal liability before departing for Japan.

8. Jurisdiction

Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court in the first instance.

3. Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

no border Inc. is committed to protecting the privacy and security of our guests’ personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information. This policy is drafted in compliance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) of Japan and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Information We Collect

We collect personal data necessary to arrange your travel, including:

  • Identity Data: Name, date of birth, gender, passport details.
  • Contact Data: Email address, phone number, mailing address.
  • Travel Data: Flight schedules, accommodation preferences, dietary restrictions (which may reveal religious beliefs or health conditions), and special requests.
  • Transaction Data: Details of payments and services purchased.
  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, and cookies.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To provide travel services (booking accommodations, tours, transportation).
  • To communicate with you regarding your itinerary.
  • To process payments.
  • To ensure safety and manage emergency situations.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

If you are from the EEA, we process your data based on:

  • Performance of a Contract: Fulfilling the travel arrangements you requested.
  • Consent: Processing sensitive data (e.g., dietary requirements) and for marketing purposes.

5. Disclosure of Your Information

To execute your custom-made travel itinerary, we must share your data with third-party service providers in Japan. You acknowledge and agree that we may share your information with:

  • Accommodations: Hotels, Ryokans, and lodging facilities.
  • Transportation Providers: Hired cars, taxis, bus companies, and rail services.
  • Experience Providers: Local guides, interpreters, and activity operators.
  • Local Partners: Regional land operators assisting with logistics.

We only provide the minimum amount of information necessary for these providers to perform their services.

6. International Data Transfers

Your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in Japan. Japan has received an adequacy decision from the European Commission, recognizing that Japan provides an adequate level of data protection comparable to the EU.

7. Data Security & Retention

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal data. We will retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this policy or to comply with legal obligations.
