Sample Itinerary

Begin your pilgrimage with a unique perspective: a private rickshaw ride guided by local guide. Journeying from the historic Old Taisha Station to Inasa-no-Hama Beach—the stage of nation-building myths—you will traverse the "Kami-mukae-no-michi" (Path of Welcoming Gods). Your guide weaves together the grand legends of the deities with the intimate, untold stories of the locals who live alongside them.

After paying respects at the Grand Shrine, discover the modern heartbeat of the town on Shinmon-dori Avenue. Stepping away from the tourist trail, you will visit hidden shops known only to locals and stop by "Izumo Saryo Fuji" for a stylish matcha takeout, savoring the "now" of this timeless sacred ground.

Travel to the windswept coast of Uppurui, a place recorded in ancient chronicles. Here, "wild wakame" seaweed has been harvested for divine rituals for centuries. Visit a processing plant and board a fisherman's boat to witness the raw vitality of the sea that has long sustained the gods.

Visit "GOOD LIFE FARM" on the fertile plains fed by the Hii River, home to the Yamata-no-Orochi legend. Over coffee in the fields with the owner, you will connect with the earth that produces this region's abundance, feeling the deep cycle of life rooted in the soil.

At "Ten-on" (Calm Heavens) Sake Brewery. Here, sake is brewed as an offering to the gods using sacred water from the Kitayama mountains. Through a private tour and tasting of the "Shikomi-mizu" (brewing water) and the sake itself, you will imbibe the spirit of Izumo, communing with the divine through the art of fermentation.
